ALL FOR EARTH DAY

The Parenting Group has had many initiatives that care for the community. For this Earth Day, we set a date for April to clean up 1 bag at a time and make our environment a little cleaner. Some children cleaned up with parent’s around the community and buildings, while others joined in on other community clean-ups.

On April 22, 23 and 24th we took on the challenge

Clean up around our building…in support of our Earth Day. A little bit of effort counts. When my daughter and I were doing the cleaning, quite few residents praised us. You can do the same. Please do something nice for Mother Earth – My daughter’s former principal always says this.- Charles
A little determination and we can make a big difference! -Daniela

My son was so surprised with the amount of garbage outside our building that he said I am going to come every Saturday to help clean up “Our Earth”-Rabiya

Keeping the playground and outdoor areas litter free we try our best to keep it clean. My daughter said that litter can harm the environment and plastic ends up in the oceans.-Kathleen

We care about our children and each other’s children and together we strive for a healthier world for everyone. There are many ways we can continue the challenge and keep our community clean. We can also set new goals to create change for a better future. Can you think of ways to help save our planet?

For example, how can we buy responsibly? If anyone has any tips or ideas please get your children to share and write what they say in the comment section.

We look forward to hearing about possible solutions to keep the Earth healthy.
