Hi Kathleen, I really like the video and it was nice to hear your reason for the vaccination.
I would like to take this opportunity and express my opinion about the subject too. First, I have to say that I have a background in sciences- more specifically in Biology. I have studied and learned about how vaccines where/are developed and how it works but its not because of my background that I choose to get vaccinated.
If you look back to the world history, you can easily learn how important and life saving vaccines were/ are for the humankind. I will now just remind and mention a few examples of some diseases that ravaged and desolated the world. We had smallpox and poliomyelitis, only these two diseases killed millions of people around the world indiscriminately. I know a lot of people might not remember that time and that is thankfully due to the vaccines and to the effort of the world on implementing a good vaccination system to contain, control and eradicate those diseases.
I am only 34 years old, but I do have an uncle who needs a walker since he contracted polio when he was a kid. I would say that it is a bless that he only has issues to walk since he could had died at the time. We also have the example of Paul Alexander the so called Iron lung one of the last survivors of Polio.
I am too young to have lived any of the smallpox tragedies but if we all try to educate ourselves, if we try to read and research on reliable sources and look through our own history, we will be able to see that we need to get vaccinated to protect ourselves and the ones we love.
    Thank you!

Thanks Bruna for your informative comment. I really appreciate your knowledge and expertise on the importance of vaccines. I hope more people who are struggling with their decision for getting vaccinated will be able to come to see just how remarkable  mRNA vaccines are. Vaccinations are truly the answer to getting out of this pandemic and with new variants emerging very quickly, we all need to get vaccinated and reach herd immunity ASAP. By talking with my sister who is an Epidemiologist, I have come to understand the great necessity of getting vaccinated as a way of protecting ourselves, our family, and others who are vulnerable with immunocompromising conditions. By doing our part and getting vaccinated we are literally helping keep vulnerable populations protected. I also feel safer if I know others are vaccinated. When you have little kids, even though they are less likely to become severely ill from COVID19 there is always a risk. They are vulnerable as well. All in all it’s a good idea to really talk concerns over with your physician to make an informed decision.

Omg Bruna, this is beautiful put. I too know someone that had polio and now has metal rods in his leg. I’m not well as I have explained and in the past 2 years I have tried 2 kinds of medications but in the end they didn’t agree with me so I talked to my doctor and I stopped taking them. So where I am going with this is that I know a hand full of people that take medications and it doesn’t provide them any benefits and it’s also not agree with them but they still choose to continue to take the medications but they refuse and call the vaccine poison. I have pointed this out to them and there’s nobody home…lol. Anyway as for me and the vaccine both shot went very well for me.

Thank you Bruna for enlightening us all.
It’s very very important to get vaccinated not just for ourselves but for people around us and the people we love and care for the most!
I am looking forward to a normal life and kids going back to school!
It’s more difficult for the kids.
Thank you Kathleen for making this video it is very nice and congratulations on getting vaccinated 🎉

Thanks Rabiya! I am hoping that in the near future, with enough people becoming vaccinated our very young children will be much more protected and have less risk of infection. We will have to continue to follow rules and health guidelines set by public health authorities and keep safe. I agree, this pandemic is very difficult for children in so many ways. Hoping for a better future for everyone!
